08:00 AM
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Early Bird
How do you spend the first hour of your day?
I usually start my day with some meditation followed by a gym session. It helps me clear my mind and get focused for the day ahead.
What sparked your interest in accounting or finance?
I originally set out to become an Investment Banker focused on mergers and acquisitions, but I’ve always had a strong passion for entrepreneurship. While studying accounting at university, I started my first practice, it came from a real hunger to find clients and deliver great service.
I’ve always been drawn to the inner workings of business, and as a serial entrepreneur myself, I understand the challenges SMEs face. What drives me is the opportunity to help businesses grow by giving them access to insights and strategies that aren’t always easy to find. There’s so much potential out there, especially now as AI continues to reshape the way we work and think about growth.
Can you share some career highlights and defining moments as an accountant for SMEs?
I wouldn’t say I’ve achieved everything I’ve set out to do just yet, I still see myself as a work in progress. There have been meaningful moments along the way, but I believe the most defining ones are still ahead of me.
How do you build strong relationships with your clients?
I focus on building long-term relationships with my clients by being consistent, hardworking, and loyal. I’ve found that clients really value that level of commitment and reliability. Most of the relationships I’ve built over the years have lasted because of that steady effort and trust.
What are some future goals for your firm?
One of our main goals is to grow the firm and scale up our operations, reaching more clients and expanding our impact.
What’s next on your professional journey?
Next on my journey is continuing my education, particularly in Financial Management and Investments. I’m also planning to launch special projects aimed at supporting and strengthening entrepreneurship within the economy.

How do you contribute to the development of others in your field?
I contribute by sharing insights and experiences through LinkedIn blogging, it’s a platform I use to engage with others in the field and spark conversations that support professional growth.
Are you involved in mentorship or local business initiatives?
Not at the moment, but it's something I'm definitely open to getting involved in in the future.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to start their own accounting practice?
My advice would be to focus on securing your first clients and building strong, trusting relationships with them. When people trust you, they’re more likely to recommend you and invite you to manage their finances.

Something people might find surprising is that I’m also a part-time hip hop artist.
If you could have any superpower to help you in your job, what would it be?
If I could have a superpower to help in my practice, it would be precognition, the ability to see what’s going to happen before it does so I can make the right adjustments ahead of time.
What’s your go-to strategy for staying productive during tax season or busy periods? Any tips for keeping energy levels up?
My go-to strategy during busy times like tax season is starting the day with a workout, followed by a good breakfast and coffee to keep my energy up.
If you could relive one day from your career, which day would it be and why?
I haven’t had that moment yet, the day I’d want to relive is still ahead of me.
