From 31 May 2026, CIPC has permanently closed five email addresses used for complaints, statutory submissions, business rescue, and service of legal documents. Anything sent to these addresses will not be processed.

The closed addresses are:

All submissions must now go through the CIPC Case Management System (CMS), which launched on 27 March 2026. The system is available at http://case.cipc.co.za, or via the CIPC website by selecting "Proceed" on the CMS portal.

This follows a broader shift at CIPC toward digital-only processing, including the automation of company reinstatements and external company registrations.

What to do now

Remove the closed email addresses from your practice templates and client guides, and make sure any clients who submit CIPC matters directly are also using the CMS.
