I usually start my morning with exercise, followed by journaling and some reading.
What sparked your interest in accounting and finance?
I developed an interest in accounting and finance through my passion for uncovering meaningful insights from numbers.

Some of my key career milestones include securing my current role and contributing meaningfully to FP&A activities.
What is your role within your company’s finance department?
I work as a management accountant within the finance department.
How do you contribute to the overall financial strategy of the business?
I support the business’s financial strategy by ensuring timely reporting of revenue and costs, along with delivering accurate financial information.
What is one of the biggest challenges you’ve faced in your role? How did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was presenting to heads of department. I overcame this by practicing more and dedicating additional time to preparing for my presentations.
What tools or strategies do you use to manage the financial operations of the company effectively?
I use tools such as Excel and business intelligence platforms to help manage and monitor the company’s financial operations effectively.
Share your strategies for staying balanced, especially during busy periods
During busy periods, I stay balanced by keeping the end goal in mind and making time for fitness.
What do you enjoy outside of work? Any hobbies or activities that help you recharge?
Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, as it helps me relax and recharge.
Do you mentor or support other team members in the finance department? How do you help develop the skills of others?
I am not currently involved in mentoring or supporting team members within the finance department.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to work in a finance department?
I would advise focusing on developing strong soft skills, particularly communication and interpersonal skills, as these are essential for building effective working relationships.

Share a leadership lesson or a piece of advice that’s been valuable to you in your career.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of networking. Building genuine, meaningful relationships with people has been very helpful in my career.
What’s something surprising about you that isn’t in your professional bio? A hobby, interest, or fun fact?
Something people may not know about me is that I enjoy singing and dancing.
If you could have any superpower to help you in your job, what would it be? Predicting financial trends? Master multitasking?
If I could have a superpower at work, it would be the ability to automate routine commentary
What’s your go-to strategy for staying productive during long workdays?
During long workdays, I stay productive by incorporating exercise or short movement breaks
If you could relive one day from your career, which day would it be and why? What made that day special?
I would relive my induction day because it was a valuable learning experience where I gained a great deal of knowledge.
