“I wish I could duplicate myself.”
That’s how Jerine Chetty, a young accountant at Shoprite Checkers SA, sums up the grind of juggling deadlines, managing clerks, and proving she belongs in a management seat, all before most people have hit snooze.
At just 5–6 years into her career, Jerine is already leading from the front: prepping financials, mentoring her team, and showing that age has nothing to do with ability. Her secret? Relentless discipline, gym sessions to stay sane, and a no-excuses mantra: “Do everything to the best of your ability and keep striving for better.”
