CIPC has moved the processing of Cooperative Director Amendments from a manual to an automated system, effective 28 April 2026.

In Notice 22 of 2026, CIPC explained that the old manual process caused several problems, including delays in accessing confirmation documents and manual data errors.

The new automated solution is hosted on the CIPC e-Services platform and introduces the following improvements:

  • Automated workflows to reduce errors

  • OTP verification to reduce fraud risks

  • Real-time status notifications at each stage of the process

  • Better reporting and transparency

Before submitting any Director Amendment applications, cooperatives are urged to make sure all director and member contact details on the CIPC system are current, including:

  • Email addresses

  • Cellphone numbers

Outdated contact details will cause delays under the new system, as notifications and confirmation documents are sent automatically throughout the process.

If you assist cooperative clients with CIPC filings, check their contact details on the system now before submitting any amendment applications.
