Trying to re-instate a deregistered company or close corporation? You’re not alone, and you’re going to have to wait.

The CIPC issued Customer Notice 32 announcing that re-instatement applications are currently delayed. Why? They’re dealing with a massive pile of incoming applications, many of them with errors, and new system checks have slowed things down even more.

They say upgrades helped speed things up at first, but it didn’t last. The good news: a new fully online process is being built to make things easier in the future.

For now, double-check your paperwork before submitting clean, complete applications might get through faster.
