Tax Ombud sets up Menlyn Mall - 11 and 12 July

This article will count 0.25 units (15 minutes) of unverifiable CPD. Remember to log these units under your membership profile.

The Office of the Tax Ombud (OTO) has just launched its 2025 campaign: “Smart Taxpayers – Do the Right Thing.” The message is clear, know your rights, follow the rules, and speak up if SARS gets it wrong.

This year, the focus is on action. The OTO wants you to not just be informed, but also take steps to stay compliant and fair.

📍 Live in Pretoria? Stop by Menlyn Shopping Mall in Pretoria on Friday, 11 July 2025, and Saturday, 12 July 2025

You’ll be able to:

  • Submit a complaint if SARS treated you unfairly

  • Get updates on a complaint you’ve already made

  • Ask questions directly to OTO staff

  • Learn more about your rights as a taxpayer

This is your chance to get help and make tax season a little less stressful.
