The PPRA has issued a Notice reminding all property practitioners that they are legally required to notify the authority within 14 days of any changes to their contact details or information appearing on their Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC). This obligation comes from section 47(7) of the Property Practitioners Act and regulation 15(8). Failure to comply will result in a compliance notice and a possible fine.

Fees

Two administrative fees apply. If the change requires the FFC to be re-issued with updated information, the higher fee applies. If the change only affects PPRA records and no new FFC is needed, the lower fee applies. The 2026-2027 fee schedule is available on the PPRA website at.

How to submit

While the new PPRA portal is being phased in, amendments must be emailed to registrations@theppra.org.za together with proof of payment. Once the portal integration is complete, practitioners will be able to make changes directly online.

What to do now

Check your PPRA records. If any detail has changed in the last 14 days, submit the amendment immediately. If you advise property practitioner clients, remind them of this obligation as well.
