COIDA ROE Online System Temporary Shutdown (19–31 March 2026)

The Compensation Fund issued ROE Online System Temporary Shut-Down Alert regarding the temporarily shut down of the Return of Earnings (ROE) Online System and the internal SAP ECC modules for Employer Registration and Employer Assessment.
🗓 Shutdown Period:From 19 March 2026 at 00:00 to 31 March 2026 at 00:00
This temporary shutdown is required to complete preparations for the 2025 ROE submission season, which will run from 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2026.
Services That Will Be Affected
During this period, the following services will not be available:
Employer registrations will not be processed (including registrations through the CIPC BizPortal platform and Compensation Fund back-office processes).
Employers will not be able to submit Return of Earnings declarations, either online or manually.
The Compensation Fund will not clear employers flagged for audit.
Applications for revision of assessment will not be processed.
Instalment payment applications will not be considered.
Services That Will Continue to Operate
The following services will remain available during the shutdown:
The CompEasy system for claim processing will continue to operate.
Employers will still be able to generate a Letter of Good Standing.
Payments to the Compensation Fund can still be made using the correct CF Registration number.
Important Reminder
Employers are encouraged to submit their Return of Earnings early once the system reopens on 1 April 2026, as submission volumes typically increase closer to the deadline, which can affect system availability.
All business accountants who assist clients with COIDA compliance and ROE submissions are encouraged to take note of these dates and plan accordingly.
