President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is making it clear, under her leadership, non-performance in the public sector won’t be tolerated.
While addressing flood-hit communities in northern Namibia, she stated:
“Before I lose my job as president, because Namibians voted for me and have the power to fire me, I will fire you first for not doing what needs to be done.”
Since taking office, she has already reduced ministries from 21 to 14 and slashed deputy minister positions, a move aimed at tightening government efficiency and saving public funds.
The message is clear: accountability is not optional.
